Advice from the center’s medical director, Dr. Hendrick Dinkla:
“Use good sleep hygiene by going to bed at the same time each night. Don’t watch TV in bed, and make sure you don’t smoke or use caffeinated beverages late in the day. Try to break the habit of making your bed the place you worry and plan your day. If you have to, sit up and plan out the following day, and/or write out your problems and worries and leave them on the paper.”

Testimonials
“After having congestive heart failure, I was sent to the center. It was a nice homey environment. The staff was extremely helpful and informative and could not have
been any nicer.” — Frank Howard
“Right from the time you enter the center, the staff make you feel comfortable. Dr. Dinkla is like your hometown doctor—there’s nothing starched about him, he makes you feel completely at ease. As for the décor, the unit was awesome. The atmosphere of the room was very relaxing, and the bed was extremely comfortable. However, I didn’t think I would ever be able to get to sleep. Needless to say, I was surprised when they came in to adjust an electrode and they had to wake me from a
deep sleep.” — Margaret Salyers
