A Healthy 100 is a half-hour community town hall-style show focusing on empowering and helping neighbors live to be a healthy and vibrant 100 years. This forum allows the hospital the opportunity to reach the community in a new and innovative way, and bring health directly to their home.

The first show, focusing on back and spinal injuries, featured Stephane Lavoie, MD, board certified, orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Lavoie answered questions from the live studio audience, and Director of Rehabilitative Services Roxanne Hopkins joined segment host, Andy Gion, for an activity segment which highlighted easy, day-to-day exercises that strengthen the back and help align the spine.

The second episode focused on good heart health and included an on camera interview with Rodolfo E. Aldir, MD,FACC, FCCP, where he discussed signs of cardiac stress and the importance of living a balanced lifestyle. The ever popular Mall Walkers Club was spotlighted in the Healthy 100 activity segment with Laura Anne Roemmelt. The episode also featured footage of Neel Patel, MD, performing a Cardiac Catheterization in the Cath Lab at Florida Hospital Fish Memorial.

The six-episode series will cover a variety of healthy topics relevant to our community: Spine, Cardiac, Minimally Invasive Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Breast Cancer and Orthopedics.
