
ORANGE CITY – Florida Hospital Fish Memorial announced today that board certified in Internal Medicine physician James Carol Thompson, Jr., MD, has joined its medical staff.
Dr. Thompson received his medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia, S.C. He completed his internship and residency at North Carolina Baptist Hospital/Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Additionally, Dr. Thompson researched onogene expression, the development and endocrine function of the anterior pituitary gland and was published in Acta Anatomica for his studies of epithelial cells forming Rathke’s pouch.
Dr. Thompson has practiced internal medicine in South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia for more than 14 years.
His new office is located at 1027 Town Center Drive in Orange City. Dr. Thompson’s services include adult immunizations and annual flu vaccines; management of acute injury and minor injury; and management of chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol and congestive heart failure.
