Ormond Beach, FL (November 6, 2009) --- From new floors and lights, to new Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant bathrooms, Florida Hospital Oceanside is on its way to providing an exceptional physical environment to match the outstanding compassionate care that residents have come to expect at the beachside facility.
The first phase of renovations, which will be complete in December, includes new carpet and tile throughout the first floor, new cabinetry, ceiling lights, signage and artwork, and construction to convert all Emergency Department exam rooms into private rooms.
Upcoming renovations involve improvements to break rooms and nurses stations to provide better functionality for team members.
“We’re excited to bring the same high-tech standard of care as Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center to Florida Hospital Oceanside,” said Paul Hoover, administrator. “Our residents receive the same compassionate care and cutting-edge technology and now they’ll experience an improved physical environment as well.”
Renovations should improve patient flow and provide for an overall better experience. Completion is set for August 2010.
“With our newly renovated Medical Care unit that opened in September, these renovations mean you don’t need to leave the beach to receive excellent medical care,” elaborated Hoover.
