It was special Mother’s Day at the BirthCare Center. Four mothers received the greatest gift of all---their babies born on Mother’s Day! Charlynne Cardona, who just also happens to be a nurse in our CCC unit, was the first mother to give birth at 8:34 am. Baby girl Angelina weighed 5lbs., 12 oz. For being the first mom to deliver, Charlynne received a special flower arrangement, courtesy of the BCC.
The other mothers who also delivered on Mother’s Day each received a vase of flowers.
“We strive to make the birthing experience as comfortable and memorable as possible,” says Rebecca Vernon, director of the BirthCare Center. “Amenities like flowers on Mother’s Day, in addition to celebratory meals and electronic birth certificates we offer every day, are small tokens of appreciation for families who choose to have their babies here.”
