April 2008

It is my pleasure to extend a personal
welcome as you visit with us online.
Our mission is to extend the healing
ministry of Christ with skill and compassion.

FLORIDA HOSPITAL Fish Memorial is a member of Adventist Health System and part of a healthcare tradition reaching back almost 150 years. We are growing and exploring new opportunities to serve our community well into the future.

Healthcare technologies are advancing and we are privileged to offer you high quality, safe patient care. For the second year in a row we have been honored by HealthGrades ™ with the Distinguished Hospital Award for Clinical Excellence. This designation is earned by only the top 5% of hospitals nationwide. We also recently implemented a new Electronic Medical Record (EMR) at our hospital and are documenting patient care in a new paperless environment.

In the event you or a loved one is a patient in our hospital, we will do our best to make the stay with us both comfortable and informative. We encourage all patients to participate in “Ask Me 3” and ask questions of their physician and their healthcare provider. The questions are posted on our Web site and are designed to help you take better care of your health.

Our commitment to healthcare is more than providing talented professionals and advanced technologies to meet the medical needs of the communities we serve. Our focus is on the whole person for care of mind, body and spirit.

Finally, we are dedicated to bringing health principles to our community. The heritage of Adventist Health System is based on adopting “8 Natural Remedies” or principles of healthful living. These 8 aspects of health are more easily remembered when using the term: CREATION health. Each letter stands for an important part of maintaining optimum health: Choice. Rest. Environment. Activity. Trust. Interpersonal Relationships. Outlook. Nutrition. We are united in mission and as we prepare for the future, we invite you to join us.

We are grateful to serve our communities and are proud to be a part of the health of our neighbors.

Sincerely,

Joe Johnson
President
