FLORIDA HOSPITAL FISH MEMORIAL AND ORANGE CITY/DeBARY SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH ANNOUNCE FREE DIABETES SEMINARS ON APRIL 18 AND 26
 
ORANGE CITY, FLORIDA , April 13, 2007 – Florida Hospital Fish Memorial and the Orange City/DeBary Seventh-Day Adventist Church are joining together to offer two free seminars on "Living With Diabetes."  The first seminar, "Diabetes Care Basics" will be offered on Wednesday, April 18 from 10 AM- 12 Noon.  The second seminar, "Daily Care of Diabetes" will be on Thursday, April 26 from 10 AM- 12 Noon.  Both seminars will be facilitated by Talar Glover, the Diabetes Clinical Nurse Specialist at the Florida Hospital Diabetes Center.  Both seminars are FREE and open to the public.
 
Janet Jacob, MBA, RN, Corporate Patient Safety Officer and Director of Corporate Clinical Resources for Adventist Health System says that this community education opportunity is "a mission gift to the community."  She has recently coordinated two other diabetes seminars for our community, and she is very active in working with Florida Hospital Fish Memorial to help address this important aspect of community health.
 
The seminars will be held at the Orange City/DeBary Seventh-Day Adventist Church located at 2535 South Volusia Avenue (17-92).  All members of the community are welcome to attend.
