CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER NAMED AT FLORIDA HOSPITAL
FISH MEMORIAL
ORANGE CITY, FLORIDA, July 10, 2006– Florida Hospital Fish Memorial Vice President of Patient Services Evie Lowe, RN, BSN, MHA has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer.
Lowe has an extensive background in the health care field and has been a part of the Florida Hospital family since 1991. She began as Director of Surgical Services at Florida Hospital Altamonte and later moved to Florida Hospital Orlando where she was Director of Surgical Services. Prior to joining Florida Hospital Fish Memorial as Vice President of Patient Services, she was Director of Surgical Services and Materials Management for Florida Hospital Waterman.
Since joining Florida Hospital Fish Memorial in 2002, the hospital has grown from a two-story 97-bed hospital to a five-story 139-bed hospital which includes the third floor progressive care unit and medical surgical unit that added 26-inpatient beds. Lowe assisted in developing the affiliation with the FLORIDA HOSPITAL Cancer Institute and will lead the hospital’s Cancer Institute in West Volusia. She also has guided the hospital toward higher standards of clinical quality performance, as reflected in the 2006 Distinguished Hospital Award for Clinical Excellence™.
“Evie has a tremendous amount of health care experience and vast knowledge of the Florida Hospital System,” said President of Florida Hospital West Volusia Division Joe Johnson. “Her experience, accomplishments and leadership will continue to be assets in her new role as Chief Operating Officer as she will use her clinical inpatient expertise to help grow our outpatient services while enhancing relationships with the community and medical staff.”
“I am looking forward to the opportunity to lead the hospital in a new capacity,” said the new Chief Operating Officer. “My new role will focus on operational efficiencies and expanding outpatient services while also working to further develop the Florida Hospital Cancer Institute West Volusia Division.”
