The Laboratory is fully accredited by the College of American Pathologists. This voluntary certification is our way of ensuring that the highest standards of quality are met at all times.
The registration process on the first floor of the Outpatient Clinic is required for all lab work. Patients are also welcome to come in after hours or weekends and register through the Emergency Room, then proceed to the Laboratory for testing.
If you are taking aspirin or a blood thinner (Coumadin), please notify the lab phlebotomist before having your blood drawn. Certain tests require an 8-12 hour fasting period. No appointment is necessary for laboratory testing.
Testing results are given to the physician who ordered the test upon completion. Most tests are completed on the day of testing, but others take several days depending on the test performed. Most test results can also be picked up by the outpatient in person.
